A Recipe ..... For You !

If you love Olives, as I do you will really love this recipe. Serve it with buttered fresh bread, a baguette works well, or on your favorite toasts!  Brown bread works well too !  Yum !

Olive Tapenade

1/2      cup      black olives
1/2      cup      green olives
1         Tbl       capers
2         cloves  garlic
2         Tbl       olive oil
1         tsp       lemon juice
1/4      tsp       black pepper, or to taste
½        tsp       dried herbs de Provence ….. or to taste

Coarsely mince the olives and garlic, then combine with all the other ingredients, mixing well.  If you use a food processor coarsely chop the first four ingredients. Then quickly add the oil and lemon juice while running to keep the mixture slightly chunky, or if you want a paste mix it a bit longer until you have a paste. The choice is yours.

NOTE:  Some folks add 1 tablespoon of Anchovy Paste for a more traditional taste but it can be left out for a Vegan recipe.  You can use dried Italian Seasoning if you do not have the Herbs de Provence and you can also just use fresh Italian Parsley if you prefer fresh herbs.
Serve with crackers, flatbread, baguette, or slices of a toasted artisan bread.
